Hello everyone,
I am a UN employee looking for an entire private studio or one-bedroom apartment for one person from 1 November 2026. The kitchen and bathroom must be entirely private. Furnished would be convenient, but I am also considering unfurnished places.
My preferred rent budget is up to CHF 800 per month including building charges, or the equivalent in euros. Please specify any additional electricity, heating, water, internet or other costs so I can compare the full monthly budget.
I work at the Palais des Nations and do not have a car. Geneva and nearby France are both welcome: Ferney-Voltaire, Saint-Genis-Pouilly, Gaillard, Ambilly, Annemasse, Saint-Julien, and other places with practical public transport. I would also consider Bellegarde/Valserhone close to the railway station if the train costs and commute make sense. Ideally the commute would be around one hour; slightly longer may work if I only need to be in the office two days a week.
Six months or a year would be fine, and I can also consider a shorter rental or sublet.
If you have a place that is currently still available, or know of a suitable lead, please reply or send me a Glocals message with the rent and charges, available dates, location/nearest stop, photos, furniture/appliances, deposit and any fees.
Thank you!Jiaan
