What are the tax & administrative implications of moving from CH to F?

We are considering moving from Vaud across the border to France, but I am trying to find out what the tax implications are like? Does one continue paying Swiss taxes, if you work in Vaud but live in France? What about social charges? Anyone have any experience about the pros and cons you can share?

Thanks for any advice!

Unlike Geneva frontalier workers (who pay Swiss social & income tax), as a frontalier working in Vaud you will pay Swiss social taxes and French income taxes. You will of course also be taxed under the French system and not the Swiss ref wealth tax, inheritance tax, gift tax etc. There are quite a few considerations in this regard and professional advice is recommended.

I agree with Chris99. If you work in Vaud, you will pay your taxes in France, because there is a special cross-border agreement covering some cantons including Vaud (but not Geneva).

In addition, you would have to change your driver's license (converted to a French driver's license if you have a Swiss license), pass a technical test for you car and change the plates of your car.
