What to do with kids on rainy day?

Hi friends - looking for a few more ideas here...where can we go the next few days of rain here, while the kids (4 and 8) are out of school?  Any ideas appreciated...don't want to do much screen time!

thanks,

Sylvia

Hi Bertrand - thanks for the ideas, I figured other people were asking that question, just didn't do the right searches I guess.

We checked out the local toy libraries today, they had some activities (http://www.ville-geneve.ch/themes/petite-enfance-jeunesse-loisirs/activites-extrascolaires/ludotheques/)

Kids usually love Vitamparc (in St-Julien) or the other swimming pools. If you are ready to travel a little, you could also check Aquaparc (Bouveret), Labyrinthe Aventure (Valais), Walibi (after Aix-les-Bains). In the Bouveret you also have Vapeur Parc (but for an 8 year old, a few tours are usually sufficient).

Thanks Per.  Someday we'll check out some of these aquaparc areas.

On Sunday we went to the community pool at Vernet.  (http://www.ville-geneve.ch/plan-ville/sports/piscine-vernets/

I was pleasantly surprised - it's HUGE, with an olympic size pool, and two other pools, one for younger and one for older kids.  It's very clean, and wasn't at all crowded, which really surprised me for a rainy Sunday.  And the price, for 2 adults and 2 kids, was only 10 francs!
