Not knowing where I left my bike.
I rode home from a party where too many people had brought bottles of whisky, and somehow lost my way. I had taken the same road hundreds of times, but apparently went in the wrong direction and only realized 15 minutes later that I had no idea where I was. I hailed a passing taxi, placed my bike next to a bus stop, and even had the presence of mind to ask the taxi driver to write the name of the street on a piece of paper. Next morning I went back to the street but never found the bus stop or my bike.
Not knowing where I left my bike.

I once went out to a friend's party the night before my father-in-law started demolishing our bathroom and laundry. Waking up at 7am with hangover to the sound of a jackhammer on a concrete slap wasn't much fun.
Luckily, my wife is a nurse and has some serious drugs for such occasions. If I knew what they are, I would share their names - all I know is that they work like Jeeve's special recipe!

Being woken up on a train at the USSR/Polish border when my last memory was staggering towards the student's hostel in Minsk. Several items of clothing in my suitcase did not belong to me. that was shock rather than hangover which came later with a vengeance. It was one of those ?I will never touch alcohol again hangovers
