Standing at the bus stop at Chateaubriand (6p.m.) this evening, I noticed that the large majority of cars had only 1 occupant. Decided to count while waiting and the results were - only 1 car in every 25/30 had more than 1 occupant.
There are car sharing sites, I think i've seen a post on here before aswell. I know the logistics can be complicated and it wouldn't work for everybody all of the time but surely we can cut these figures a little bit.
It seems a pity that people can't get together and cut costs, journey times, parking spaces, polution and talk to someone else instead of to themselves for a change, which is what many of the lone drivers seem to be doing, or are they talking into one of those "hands free kits"‽ I can never tell, you just don't know who's lost the plot and who hasn't in this fast moving, high tech world.
