For the made to measure,,, Raj Mirpuri  .... in Geneva

You will find an Italian shop on Rue Montreux (off Rue de lausanne). This shop faces the backyard of Migros Gare Cornavin.

Gilles Gerson in Rive (opposite the street from McDonalds) or on rue de la Servette.

Thanks guys --- we ended up getting one at Gill Gerson and another at a place around the corner from my work which i'd recommend to anyone else.  It's an outlet store on Rue du Lac in Eaux-Vives,

I got my first bespoke suit last week from Raj Mirpuri in Geneva, and love it. Even Charlie tells me I look smashing in it! Highly recommended.

I went for the least expensive fabric and cut cos it still looked great and cos I'm cheap. So the full suit came out at just under CHF 1000.

Still looks great and is of better quality than the off the shelf stuff I have. 

I'm a little shy to post a full picture, but here goes. Seriously, I'll post a pic in the next few days, when I have the suit on.

suitsupply.com is coming to Zurich. Their price/quality ratio is excellent. 

If you have the time, book a flight to london and have it done there. You will save more than the costs of the flights, plus a lot of choice.

Quality but affordable is really subjective.

I think best you ask Raj Mirpuri and not Nir because Nir is not the professional tailor.

Also more suits are made for men, so maybe cheeper by the numbers?

Its like wedding dress versus tux/suit, same story right?

I seen everywhere mens tailored 'SUITS' are always less expensive, but I dont not exactly know why, but I could speculate. More curves, more adjustments after first try/cut?

One thing I also notice there are 3times more womens shops and womens shoes stores compared to mens. Choice for Women are twice as much? why is this????

Go to Dosenbach, and womens section is 4times ice the size offered for men, the childrens section is twice the size? Yeah, its crap that men get like 8 aisles and women have 20. Childrean have 15 aisles. There is a Sara in Balaxert and no mens cloths?

etc etc. etc. oh boo hoo, im so so upset im im going to impail myself with my high heals.

If concerned about tailored cost, go to a shop that sells factory suits for women.

And honestly I have ideas why tailoring a women is more expensive but you wlll just say 'that is crazy or other'. But Its a tailors business and not mine.

As Dave suggests, the extra cost of a woman’s suit is probably due to the additional dexterity in cut and fitting that a woman’s body shape requires, but it does seem rather steep compared to the offer for men.

Having been spoiled rotten by made-to-measure clothes for most of my life, coming now to terms with “off the peg” has been an interesting learning process.  While I’d love to take up the Raj Mipuri offer, the need to pay the rent, etc., has won the day.

Suits are overrated...

It's not rue de "Montreux" but rue de "Monthoux".

Why do some exapts see Montreux everyhwere, not to count those who don't know how to spell its name (which you did correctly by the way)? ;-)

The shop is called "Iannolfo & Sgariglia" but only offers men suits to my knowledge.
