Where to buy Cypriot Halloumi cheese in Geneva

Does anyone know where I can find Cypriot Halloumi goat's milk cheese in Geneva or nearby? They are supposedly good for grilling. Thanks!

If there's an Aldi near you, then they usually have it.

I saw Halloumi at the Villereuse Coop (Eaux Vives 2000) on Saturday. Have no idea if it's Cypriot or not.

@Treesa and @misskate. Thanks. I'll certainly check out both places. There is an Aldi in Petit-Lancy.

Ah yes, SimSim, that's the cheese that doesn't melt under the charcoal heat.
Bring some back from Tesco if you remember :-)

Hi man, Halloumi is not easy to find in Geneva.

I bought it once at Hall de Rive in Rive at the following seller: http://www.halle-de-rive.ch/Fiches/dardashti.htm. However, it costs around 6-8 CHF. I have also bought Halloumi for 2 Euro at an Arabic shop in France just at the border of Moillesulaz (last stop of tram 12, 16, 17). See

Good luck, Maher

Weather has been cool and wet since last Sat night but it is expected to clear  leading to the forthcoming weekend. Sunday will be scorching hot. Hence, the need for Halloumi cheese :-)

I buy all my haloumi just across the border in Ferney Voltaire at Goodtaste. They have a wide range of different haloumis to choose from.

@Maher: Thanks man! Halle de Rive sounds pricey but maybe their Halloumi is made with superior goat's milk :)

@Kiriel: Brilliant. I know this place and it's not too far from my office. Good Taste certainly has lots of interesting oriental food stuff. I hope the Halloumi is genuine Cypriot.

@Treesa: Thanks again. You sure know your Halloumi supply source. Good to know there are multiple shops to try out.
