Where to buy a bottle or a tank

Dear all,

I am looking for a bottle or a steel tank of 5 litres or so.

Could you suggest me from where I could buy it, please?

Thanks!

P.S. Do+It and Jumbo and Leroy Merlin and ikea and coop gardening don't stock them

If you need petrol takes, go to Jumbo, section for the lawn mowers.

For water 5l , check there Camping section, they have 5 liter colapsable plastic containers. Or go buy 5l water in france, willl be cheeper than getting one empty. And ofter includes a pooring button.

Or check out the Camping section in SportX (Migros), or Athleticum.

Woudl be great to know what exactly you need it for, so I could make a precise suggestion.

Thanks for your kind answers,

the bottle has to be made of dark glass of steel. I am trying to store some olive oil, therefore it has to be sort of sterile and contaminant free.

Cheers

Try calling Landi, its an agricolture/farmer gardener supply company in Meyrin. Im sure they have something you can use.

If not go buy a 5 liter plastic gasoline tank at Jumbo, wash it out with dishwashing soap a few time, this could work.

Or buy a 5 liter of water , empty it in smaller bottles and use if for the storage of the olive oil, im sure that would work really good also.

I was looking myself for something similar some times ago, and couldn't find it in the local shops: either plastic for food/water or steel for gasoline, even in the camping sections of the shops.

Finally found what I wanted on the internet.

For what you're looking for, the closest which comes to my mind is "bidon à lait" (milk tank); found one here:

http://www.tompress.com/A-403-bidon-a-lait-5-litres.aspx

Or specifically for olive oil:

http://www.helleas.com/ustensiles/121-fut-inox-3-litres-pour-huile-d-olive.html

Not cheap though ..

Or may be, any 3l thermos bottle for coffee or tea ... why not.

Landi had it!

I bought a carboy (dame-jeanne) as they did not have a specific steel tank. Still, I am very happy!

On a sidenote, I was impressed by Landi, goo variety and much better prices compared to jumbo or migros do+it.
