Where to buy preservative-free eye drops

Hello - does anyone know where I could buy these?  In the US there's a large variety of eye drops available without a prescription, but I'm not sure what it's like here, or where I'd even look.

thanks,

Sylvia

I'd start by asking at a pharmacy or optician.

Besides the various brands, you have usually two types of eye-drops available, either treating for excessive mechanical friction or antiseptic.  The pharmacist will be the person to check with at the counter and informs what is available without a prescription. Should she believe you need a prescribed product you will be invited to visit a medical practitioner first.  Eye-drops ( "collyre" ) are not available over the counter.
