It's Harvest Season! Am looking for those traditional woven chains of garlic and shallots. Does anyone know where to find them near Geneva? I was told that they are seen more as a product of Bern rather than Geneva / Lausanne? Any help would be much appreciated!

Look in the local street markets – in Geneva, Ferney-Voltaire, Annemasse, etc.
You will probably also find them in “Manor” and other large supermarkets.
Best, R.

Just to report back to the forums for future searchers looking for garlic and shallot braids. It is easier to find garlic braids than shallot braids.
GLOBUS has the best garlic braids at the highest prices. But their garlic was large and beautiful. Those looking for garlic to roast (when the bigger the garlic cloves, the better), should check it out. But be aware, when I went, Globus had more garlic braids hanging as decorations in the store than actually for sale in the garlic section (I picked up two out of the last four on the shelves).
The larger MIGROS have both garlic and shallot braids at lower prices in large quantities. But the braids are smaller and appear to be of lower quality than Globus.
I could not find any braids in MANOR, COOP, nor in the 5-6 street markets that I went to.
Hope this helps!
