Where to look for an accommodation?

Good Saturday all,

I've magically received a B Permit and so from now I belong to the special elite of "foreigners treated as Swiss": I can rent my own accommodation!! (plus others benefits such having the right to have a mobile contract.. wow!!!)

So, a part the Classified section here in Glocals, where else shall I look at? In the "Regie" websites?? Any "respectable" Regie?

Cheers xx

Hi,

Here are the websites I used when searching for an apartment:
http://www.homegate.ch/en?a=default&l=default
http://www.anibis.ch/fr/default.aspx (this is where I found mine)
http://www.immoscout24.ch/IS24Web/_V2/Home.aspx?nav=0&wl=1&lng=en
http://www.anzeiger.ch/sitemap/wohnung/mieten/kanton/genf?roomsFrom=&roomsTo= (this one collects the ads from other sites - unfortunately it is in German)
http://www.immo.ch/en;ANZSESSIONID=ctJMQsQKNLz02G4Z6nhpqd8hBpt2JnJWh2RW2FRmpQYhn1pdBv8y!-854006474

Then of course the regie websites. So far I didn't have trouble with A.Bordier.

Good luck! And don't listen to the people who are telling you it is impossible to find something. It can be difficult - but I am living in the first apartment that I saw (and really like it!).

Also try on the French side :

www.seloger.com

www.paruvendu.fr

Not everything is perfect in France but here I can afford to rent a T3 (2 bedrooms + 1 living room) with a 8 sqm balcony and 2 garages for EUR 1,260 and this is Ferney which is more expensive than other places.
