Where to wash my trainers?

Hi, I have two pairs of trainers to wash, since I've worn them for a long time, even in the desert on a holiday and their still full of sand :D

Can I normally wash them in the washing machine? Or is there a better and more specific place to wash them?

Thanks ;)

Washing machine works well on a short cycle.  Put them inside a pillow case to protect them and dry them quickly afterwards on a radiator to avoid dampness and smells.

If you have a foot or trainer odour problem you can use vodka instead of fabric conditioner.
