Which airlines carry pet dogs from the UK to Geneva??
Hi Everyone,

We have just moved to the Lausanne area and have bought a puppy in the UK for my daughter, but I'm struggling to find an airline who'll travel direct from the UK to Geneva that allows pets on board.

I'd be really grateful if someone could offer some advice.

Julie

Hi Julie, you could try Pet Air  http://petairuk.com/

I think most Pets would have to go from Gatwick, or Via Gatwick on BA

I was on a Swiss flight from Zurich yesterday and the lady beside me had a small poodle in a carry on bag (one of those nylon dog carriers). The question would be is the puppy small enough to go in a dog carrier? If so, that might give you an option that is different than having to place the dog in a plastic crate and ship him/her in the hold of the plan. By the way, this is not that bad an option.

The easiest thing is to go on the websites of the airlines that do the London - Geneva route and enter "dogs" or "animal transport" in the search function. You should find the details you need.

The last time I checked, Swiss allowed pets in the cabin, but not BA. The weight limit was something like 5 or 6 kg. Had to be in a soft sided carrier.
