Has anyone experienced this?
I have tried all tricks i could find online but the solution was just short-termed and the problem still occurs.
I would like to hear your experience on this.

Hi Gerald,
I also have a 4S but I did not experience this problem myself.
What have you tried?
In case you haven't tried it, you could attempt a reset AFTER first doing a full and complete backup. When troubleshooting, I sometimes do the backup and then:
Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings and then see if it works.
A deeper test would be:
Settings > General > Rese > Erase All Content and Settings. When it's done, see if you can connect. If yes, then try restoring from backup and see if it's any better.
Let me know if you need any help with this.
David

Thanks for the reply David.
Yes i have tried everything from rebooting/reseting network/all data, switching airplane mode and remove SIM card then reboot and even freezing the phone for 15 min (which worked for 10 minutes).
I think the problem was trigerred by the update with the problematic wifi/bluetooth chip.
The warranty of the iphone expired 3 months ago so i guess i will see what my carrier will suggest.

Use a hair dryer. Google for instructions. Worked for me.
Apparently a known problem with the wifi/bluetooth chip for certain 4S.
Got a replacement from apple for 209.- CHF since it's out of warranty.
