Dear all, 


I'd like to ask you a question about work permit:


I've been recently offered a internship by a Swiss company and they are willing to sponsor my work permit (I'm from China).


Before I got this offer, I was doing an internship with a UN organisation, it as part of a non-Swiss uni programme. I extended my carte de legitimation till the weekend after next week.


I'm gonna sign my contract this week and I have already asked the HR person about what I should do. They said they have asked but haven't received any replies yet.


Does anyone know what I need to do? Obviously, I want to stay in Switzerland for the duration of the application. However, I would need a visa for that... Is there a visa I could apply for after I submitted my work permit application? If there's no such visa, what do I need to do to get my work permit from the Swiss consulate office back home?

you should call Office cantonal de la population (OCP): Route de Chancy 88, 1205 Genève
022 546 46 46


Go to the foreigners section and let them know your situation.

Dont call just go there personally those phones are hardly ever answered.
