affordable Swiss souvenirs / gifts

I need to find a slew of gifts to bring to relatives in SE Asia this Christmas from Switzerland.  I am not flush enough to buy watches for all, but I know my family would love things like T-shirts, hats/caps, etc.  Does anyone know a good place to buy such "touristy" type things in the Geneva area? I haven't yet seen a shop selling items like this.

Another possibility is Swiss army knives, as I think that some of the simpler models are affordable -- where's the best place to buy these?  I've seen them lots of places (Migros, duty free store, etc.) but haven't really compared prices.

Of course, I also plan on bringing lots of chocolate... though it won't survive long in the tropical weather.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi Amanda,

There is a souvenir shop on Rue du Mont Blanc, just after the bridge on the Cornavin side. They have all the traditional souvenir things you can think of

Manor also has a good selection next to the chocolate section on the ground floor, as does the Coop Rhone Fusterie (the one on the main shopping street towards Bel-Air)

There are some other smaller souvenir shops scattered around

For swiss army knives I know of a shop on the road going towards Cornavin across from the big post office, but don't know if this is more of a tourist trap place or not. In the Cornavin shopping gallery would be another place to look for all of the above

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much Elke_1982 -- this is really helpful.  I'll check out the Rue du Mont Blanc shop and Manor, and also try the shops near Cornavin if I can't find what I need at those places.
