got a possibility to move there (croid du levant) but whenever I told it to somebody the answer was "ahh...well...." but not ginving any further details.

I'm not living there, but pass it regulaarly on the bus/tram so I can give an impression anyway...
It looks like a very crowded apartment building area, perhaps not the most expensive place to live but I've yet to hear anyone say it's dangerous, unpleasant, etc. People in that area look like they're on a mission (usually shopping) and the streets seem pretty quiet at night for such a populated area.
The only problem I've ever had was a late-night creepy guy experience at the bus stop.
It looks like a very crowded apartment building area, perhaps not the most expensive place to live but I've yet to hear anyone say it's dangerous, unpleasant, etc. People in that area look like they're on a mission (usually shopping) and the streets seem pretty quiet at night for such a populated area.
The only problem I've ever had was a late-night creepy guy experience at the bus stop.

I live at Les Avanchets with my partner. When I arrived I thought, oh this place is not pretty at all, how am I going to cope?! But now after one year I am used to it and it's actually not a bad little community here. There are many different nationalities, I think due to the rent being on average a little lower here. I've never had any problems with creepy/dangerous people. Generally people say hello and are quite neighbourly. And the proximity to Balexert, the trams and buses and Meryin, well that's a big bonus. All that said, we are going to move soon to somewhere less built up. So, hope that helps? Any questions, fire away!
