banh mi in geneva?

does anybody here know if there's a vietnamese banh-mi sandwich shop anywhere in geneva or the surrounding area?

i used to think that this was just one of those things that simply isn't available in switzerland, until i found a good source in lausanne.

ironically, there's a vietnamese grocer very close to my job in the paquis with a sign on the door advertising vietnamese sandwiches. every time i've inquired, they've said that the guy who makes the sandwiches is on vacation.

OMG!  Those sandwiches are just ...  awesome!  taking into account that I have not seen any for sale either, I sometimes make the VN pickles myself, buy fresh baguette and necessary items and assemble the whole thing and EAT that huge yummy sandwichhhh

Hello,

You guys touch my heart because I found Westerners love Vietnamese BANH MI ;-) Oh yes, I agreed! as those yummy finger foods are killing me as well, honestly I do miss a real good Vietnamese foods in Geneva unless I cook at home. I may organise some simple Vietnamese food events in Geneva if you guys interest ;-)

Here's the link for Banh Mi, hope that help: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/saras-secrets/vietnamese-style-sandwich-banh-mi-recipe/index.html

Let me know if you need some advice.

Hi there,

I found a place in Paquis which makes Banh Mi - Fraicheur D'Asie, 36 Rue du Môle, phone 022 731 12 81. The stuff is quite decent, and they also make very tasty Vietnamese plats du jour. Enjoy!
