buying 2nd hand car in Switzerland
Hi

Are there any problems buying a 2nd hand car in Switzerland if you live in France? They seem to be much cheaper..

I think you might find you have to have a swiss address to register it , otherwise it will be buying for export and then the associated cost of transferring it to France, Import Tax , cost of registering.. I suppose it depends on the car and how much you can save.

I transferred my Swiss car to French plates when I moved to Haute Savoie and it seems that we were to and from various offices for different bits of paper for quite a while.
