Do agencies that coordinate car-sharing for travelling within Europe exist in Geneva? Principle: You sign up (and provide your details and a copy of your passport to such a company) and they set you in contact with another person that wants to travel to the same destination
(and also provides details). You share the gas (paid to the agency with a small fee). Does this exist here?

We belong to a car-sharing service called "Mobility" that is run through SBB (the train system). It's much cheaper than renting cars and you can use the cars in CH and some neighboring counties (the list is on their website).
We are new members, but so far we love it! You are charged by the hour & kilometer (you can rent anywhere from 1 hour to a couple of weeks). The gas & everything else is included in the fee. As a member of Mobility you also get 30% off traditional rental car companies outside CH.
The website is: www.mobility.ch
