driving Annecy-Gva - best way??

Hi,

I got a new collegue who's driving from Annecy to Geneva every day. She only started this week but is already fed up with the trafic jams once she crosses the Swiss border.

Anyone knows a fast, less busy way to come to Geneva (Grange-Canal/Gare Eaux-Vives area).

Traffic on a monday and rainy days takes even longer, and apparently colleague who drives in from Chamonix said it takes him longer to get into central town from the Gaillard boarder than it does for him to get to the Swiss boarder. So I'm sure with the traffic in Annecy then to here is no easy matter.

It's the price you pay for living in a pretty town like Annecy and commuting into work. You can always take a bus every now and then to Geneva.

I drive in from the same direction everyday , although not so far out as Annecy and I agree the traffic starts once you get to the Swiss Border on the Route Blanche , I also then then head towards Grange Canal as I drop my kids off at school on the way. You could alternatively try the park and ride instead then at either Moillesulaz or by the Sports centre
