embroidery (cross-stitching)
ok, guys, in these rough and dark times only cross-stitcing can make us stay calm :D

so, the question is where in Geneva I can buy good embroideries (like with all samples of threads and canvas)?

I was into it about 5 years ago, but gave up because of problems with eyes, no I want to start again, something small (30 x 30) first :P

cheers,

Dina

There was a nice shop in Chene Bougeries that my mother went to years ago, but I have no idea if its still there. I think it would have been on Rue du Vieux Chene...

There was also one Rue du Cendrier, that row of small shops between Payot on Chantepoulet going towards Manor. Again, no idea if it's still there.

The one on rue de Cendrier is still there.  There is also one on rue de la cite (it also sells buttons so sometimes the window has buttons and other times cross-stitch or embroidery).  There is another store near the rue de Stand tram stop that mostly sells quilting material but the last time I was in it (a couple of years ago) did have some cross-stitching kits.

Happy stitching ;)
