funny...

Now there is a "+35" event and there is no complains or posts abt that...http://www.glocals.com/things-to-do/geneva/34924.htm

I really dont want to be polemic here, I think people are free to do what they want.. but I would just like call attention as people were really mad with Pepso who never did a event after all that mess...

I totally agree Marina and I understand some reaction as there was a bad discussion from both sides and pepso lost some points in the way he pointed out.

I actually dont care really for this age diference and as I said I am not disaproval to this +35 event, I just pointed out the fact to compare.

I think Pepso just wanted to meet people his age and was good to glocals having one person organazing more events now I am sure people think twice before posting a under 30 event.

The under-30 part didn't seem to bother anyone that much.  People are free to associate however they please.  The problem was the shaming language and the ad hominem attacks.

That said, I did just see an event posted for 28-35 year old females.  I think I'm going to post one that's only for left-handed, transgendered 32 year-olds who were born on a Tuesday, speak Swahili, and are 175-177cm tall.

Think anyone will show?

As a memebr of particular "generation" I feel more at ease participating at an event where the guidelines makes it attractive for me to attend or in the inverse politely suggest that it may not be my cup of tea (no relation to the royal wedding).  It would be like the doggy owners club meeting and to have some prat show up with a cat, which would only spoil the meetup for the dogs and the poor cat.

So whether the guideline is +35, ladies only, under 30's, men over 1m85 (for the tall ladies), etc we should respect the invitee's guestlist wish so that his/her event is a success.  If one can't respect that, then organise your own event catering to your own ideals.
