getting a driving licence in Geneva

Hi All,

I moved recently to Geneva and I'm highly intrested in getting a driving liscence. I'm driving since 13 years ago so don't worry ;)
in fact I'm puzzeled with the info availalble online, and I want to check if you have any personal experience with this issue. Any info about prices, theoretical courses, whether I can do the test in English or not.

Have a great day,
Omar

Thanks for replying.

I forgot to mention that my license is not valid in the EU, so I think I will need to get a new one.

any recommendations of schools, instructors? How much are the fees fr the whole thing to prepare my budjet?

Thanks

As far as I know you do not need to go to a driving school. After living here for 6 years, I decided to change my Lesotho licence to Swiss. All I had to do was book an appointment to do the driving test. The test itself took about 30 minutes. Since I did not speak French at the time, I arranged to have an interpreter. I got my Swiss licence without any problem.
