Because... I didn't have any photographers at my wedding and I have regretted it ever since. My 10 year anniversary is coming up, and I want a second chance at getting a nice couple's photo of my hubby and I! (PS. my puppy in the pic would also be in the pic.

Because this is what i want to do tomorrow! and im the most sincere, positive and honnest girl who want the best to everybody!

The last time that my husband and I did anything close to feeling glamourous was on July 18th, 2007 - our wedding day. 

Since that day, we have been going full speed ahead with building our lives together. We now have 2 beautiful sons, my husband has a wonderful job based in Lausanne, I have my own business and we just bought our first house. 

All these wonderful accomplishments do not come without hard work and dedication. Between running the kids off to school, maintaining a business and settling into a new environment we seldom seem to find the time to reward ourselves.

An opportunity to escape for just 2 hours and put ourselves in the hands of a professional photographer, make-up artist and hairdresser in a beautiful setting like Lausanne Palace, would be a memory we would treasure forever - and what’s more, we would have hard copies to look back on. 

Because I have spent a life time perfecting my pout and I wouldn't want all those years of practice to go to waste.

I would love to win the GOLDKIND photo session for my boyfriend and me because there are only two pictures of us in existence. One of those photos was taken on a camera phone. We're renting a motorcycle on Sunday to ride up to Chamonix. If we die on the way there, it would be terrific to have some gorgeous shots of us in our final hours before crashing in the Alps.

-i've never won anything before

- I didn't like taking photo, never had an entire photo,  but I've realized that I should do it. I don't wanna say  " look , I should have taken more photo when I'm young and beautiful" when I'm older

Well, I'm not around this weekend, so I wouldn't be able to attend the session if I did win...but I'm throwing my hat in the ring on the off-chance another timeslot would be available!

I've had dreadlocks for nine years (one third of my life!) and the time has come to cut them off. I'll be shaving my head (and raising money for charity in the process) this summer - and my dreadlocks deserve their chance to be in the spotlight before it's curtains forever!

I should win the competition because I was a professional model in my country (Ukraine) for a few years. (I hope everybody knows that Ukrainian girls are the most beautiful in the world, and as I was a model you can imagine how beautiful I am :)).

My life continued and I had to stop this job as I needed time to finish my MSc, PhD, then I started teaching at a University, then I moved to Geneva… (do not worry I am still 28 :)). But I always remembered those years as a  very nice period of my life and liked to go through the pictures which reminded me how it was. It was always nice especially when you are tired or upset

So this year, 01.01.2012 we were coming back from a New Year party where my husband was a DJ (and he took my laptop with him where all my professional photos were stored) and stopped on the way back to wish a Happy New year to our friend. When we came back to the car in one hour our bags, including laptop and external storage with back-up copies and other bags were gone :(. I know we should not leave bags in the car, but it was a New Year night, we left only for an hour, we put bags on the car floor and nobody could have seen bags from outside (al least it is what we thought).

I had back up copies of my professional pics on a DVD disk at home but I found out that it was scratched and all the info was not available (my husband is IT (yes, lots of talents) and he tried everything he could to extract the files but it did not work). Now I just want to get some pro pics of me again to have something to show my grandchildren when I become old and less beautiful.

So, the summary is that even if my explanation of why I should win is not the best, it is the longest and you should feel bad about what happened to me :)

Working in fashion, beauty is a notion that will always intrigue me. As an independent jewellery designer, most of my weekends are spent organising photo shoots and making young models look even more lovely than they are naturally. I love the creativity and all the artistic collaboration that takes place during a shoot. As I approach my forties, I often wonder how to redefine beauty – I tell myself that what I loose in youth, I gain in confidence and “savoir-vivre”, even if that means a little eccentricity! Winning your competition would be a fabulous opportunity for me to be in front of the camera and to communicate all the energy and experience I have gained over the years behind the scene. A little proof that you can have va-va voom at any age!

And I just keep on wonder and wander why would people want to give a free photoshoot for a good answer to such a question. Hey, you must be bored or silly! This is not something you would want to read if you are looking for intellectually challenging blahblahh or preparing for a brainy game show type of answer. Looking at the great pictures is like reading a masterpiece, you feel the soul, spirit, mood of the author. The unique angle can be captured just once in a lifetime, just like stories do not repeat each other, and if so, they are not interesting.

Unusual looks, ideas, dreams, colors, people, objects inspire us to create something unique, invent something new that will last.

Taking a picture is not just a memory, it is a reflection of the photographer's soul, creativenss, and vision.

If there is a passion in my life, it is photography... 

Its`not about being a winner or loser but capturing  the experience -simply . I know GOLDKIND will do this for me and although the German expression Goldkind stands for "lucky fellow", in  my case it will be "lucky girl".

At least i would like to be taken to pose and to smile for Goldkind like i'm in the everyday life and not to play a game. Pics are already nicer when they seem to be natural and when models behave natural. I'd be 100% okay to allow Goldkind to use some of the pics. I'm a Djiboutian-American (born and raised in Dallas, Texas) and now I'm doing my internship with the UN in Geneva! Anyway, I think I should win, not because all of the other people aren't deserving but because I would LOVE a break from writing my thesis and interning (unpaid). I think it would be so cool and I've modeled before so, although I'm still a total novice, I wouldn't be entirely out of my element.
