Passionate about classical music, last night was a great opportunity for me. The organization of the event was perfect and I really enjoyed the entire evening. Thank you again for your wonderful work, Nir, and many thanks to the OSR. 

My husband and I truely enjoyed our evening at Victoria Hall seeing the Swiss Romande Orchestra.  We will definetly return to VH at another time to see another program.  Many Many thanks!

It was a huge privilege to attend the rehearsal, the OSR being one of Europe's, if not the world's, best symphony orchestras. To observe the process and dynamics of the rehearsal was absolutely fascinating and enhanced my appreciation of symphonic music immensely. There is no doubt that I would attend performances more often if I could, but unfortunately my financial circumstances do not allow it. All power to the OSR - and thank you BuyClub and Les Amis de l'OSR for providing this wonderful opportunity. I do hope you can provide such a wonderful experience on other occasions.

Very, very nice! Interesting to see the comments of the maestro and the dynamics of the final rehearsal (in ballet it's very different, and there is rarely any interruption!).

I was just expecting another music to be played after the break... Any way it was very enjoyable!

I was enjoying it until my friend asked us to leave as she was tired and hungry. I do understand her, she had travelled straight from work and from Fribourg (thus not having had the opportuniy to have a bite.

Thanks sooo much Glocals, usually you cannot see the Durector in action, but his final work. This was a special ocassion to see it and live it, and it was thanks to you all.

A wonderful evening, with exquisite music, and a unique opportunity to be able to listen in on a practice session. Certainly brought OSR to my, and am sure many others', attention. In fact, now considering becoming a donor member (as soon as in a position to do so). Am sure the actual concert itself will be spellbinding!

Thank you for this wonderful occasion to see a general repetition of such a nice orchestra! I have been to general repetitions of theater plays before, but this was really different as there are still loads of tweaking to take place so close to the opening night. It really enhanced my admiration for the musicians, and even more so for the conductor as usually one just see them 'waving their hands' in the front ;)

The pianist was also extremely good and the whole experience very enjoyable. Cool idea also with the microphone as one can really hear all the small details that are being tweaked.

In all a very cool experience and I loved coming back to the Victoria Hall after many years absent. Think I'm going to have to go to some final shows soon.

This was an extraordinary event. I really enjoyed not only the performance of the pieces of music as a whole, but watching the rehearsal process gave a greater appreciation for the performance.

 I agree with you totally Caroline, on the other end dancers are always rehearsing all together from beginning till end and not separately like musicians do, so in fact I found it a bit too fragmented...but excellent anyways

A very interesting experience, enhanced by the palpable tension between the conductor and the orchestra. I understood that the original conductor, Fruhberg de Burgos, is an expert with de Falla, whereas the stand-in, Alain Altinoglu, is more at home with opera. When did this change take place and how many times before yesterday had he rehearsed with the orchestra? It would have been most interesting to get some feedback from him and the musicians after the rehearsal. Perhaps those of you, who are better versed with classical music or even professionals could do a post-mortem of yesterday?

I was also disappointed not to hear any of Scheherazade. Hat off for Nelson Freire, one of the great pianists of our time: he did exactly what the conductor wanted him to do and was at the same time relaxed and concentrated.

It is not often that the public is better dressed than the performers!

Excellent initiative and perfect arrangements, kudos to Glocals team!

yesterday was fabulous! Being able to see the orchestra in working mode is for me definitely more interesting than seeing the final performance all polished. Having been part of an orchestra before it also transported me back to my younger days tested how much I still know about orchestra work & made me miss it quite a bit.

The orchestra was fantastic even if some parts were unpolished (that is what the rehearsals are all about after all) and the opportunity to get a sneak peek into their work process is very much appreciated. It's amazing to see how fast musicians need to learn new materials and blend together to play a world class concert.

I would definitely appreciate another opportunity to attend a similar event & am hoping that Friends of the OSR will invite us back again.

First of all, thank you so much for your invitation and the great organization, everything was perfect.

About the show: it was my first time in a rehearsal and I thought it was going to be more like the final show, a real concert. For me it was difficult to keep the attention with the constant stops and corrections. But that is my fault, as I didn't know that even the final rehearsals can be like that :)

Apar from that it was a beautiful night and I really enjoyed the CD I received!!

Normally at a general rehersal, you really do the rehersal of the next night's opening, preferably with costumes and lights. But this was like a normal rehersal as they were months away from the opening.

Anyway seeing that many detail studying made me have doubts about the quality of their opening, i hope it was good enough.

It was MAGIC!

Huge thanks to OSR to let us have the opportunity to assist to such rehearsal. What an Art.

Been living in Geneva for several years and this was the first time we had even stepped foot into Victoria Hall. Enjoyed the evening very much. Interesting to watch the dynamics between the conductor and the musicians as an entire concert comes together.
