Huge thank you to everyone involved with the organization of the night! I hadn't been to one of the Christmas balls since 2003 and I had a really great time Saturday night (ok, Sunday morning, we didn't get there til after 1).

The salsa room was fantastic. I thought the djs in both rooms were great. I'm not a huge fan of 70s music, but at least it's danceable and I was thrilled when a little Aerosmith/Run DMC and Nirvana came on towards the end of the night.

I'm not sorry I missed the cover act, it's not really my thing. I never had a problem getting served at the various bars, though the people selling the beverage tickets seemed unsure about what cards were actually accepted, but it all worked in the end.

My only gripe (and I get that it's completely out of the organizers' control) is that some douchebag spat gum on the floor. And, of course, I stepped in it. This happened inside the ticketed area. Not in the lobby, not outside the hotel, but in the party area. So, seriously, people, were you raised in a barn? I would have been annoyed in any pair of shoes, but these particular shoes... It made me really sad.

Otherwise? What an awesome night!

Me and my friends really enjoyed , first of all the service was perfect ( which you can not find all the time in Geneva) People were fun and nicely dressed ! 

Many thanks to Dj , who played so good music . Seriously the time passed so fast that i didnt even understand when it was already 3 o`clock in the morning !

Thoser "professional" photos are a bit below standards imho -- cut fingers, legs (even on the studio shots)... oh well, as long as people are happy about the photos and ready to pay 10chf for a small picture it's all fine ))

It was really great party and was my first time with my girl friend to XBall. Thanks again for the organizers and Keep rocking this XBall every year. Looking forward to have more and more fun next year.

I m in Geneba for long time now and know quiete well its night life, the only thing I can say : Your bal is still one of the best event of the year.

Congratulation my friend, and thank you for this big fun.

First of all like the others on here I would like to point out I had a great time.  The atmosphere and party were brilliant, I had a lot of fun with my friends and the crowd, will certainly be going to future ones.

However, it was not a cheap do, I felt if you will book a live act, the Madge tribute act was a poor karioke singer at best.  I felt a far better act or even a full piece band would have been possible rather than a 40 minute karioke set.

The final gripe, was the advertising of the portrait picture.  "Free portrait picture", then round the corner, but "the prints are 10chf" come on, we are not children, we do not need misleading advertising to lure us in.  the price 10 bucks for a print I thought was reasonable but the childish approach to draw us into the photo shoot ment out of principle I wouldnt pay.

Again, I had a great time, but if you want honest feed back, perhaps a better full piece band and as an included in the price offer a portrait picture of the group your with would be a nice touch and gesture.

This is a funny comment! Of course the photo shoot was for free, Peaky. And now comes the point: To keep costs low for Glocals.com, we did not charge a fee to the organisation. Therefore selling files and prints is our payback for being present at the venue with three people and a lot of equipment. And because the photo shoot was free, you can view your photos for free...Plus: A cute video will be available soon.

PS: I hope you didn't start negotiating prices for drinks with the barkeepers...;-)

That's good to hear, and I am happy for the barkeepers and for you ;-) But, please keep in mind, that drinks cannot be enjoyed virtually (digitally) as pictures can.

But, to become serious: I got your point. I would appreciate including a sponsor for the photography topic in 2013, really enabling us to give away all photos for free. Believe me, this would also be much easier for us.

And maybe, for this year, you support our work and buy the picture we took of you (and which you like)?

Sascha - sorry I don't really have time to browse again through the pictures. If you have cropped pictures on the site than better put the non-cropped ones to avoid confusion, no?

I'd say it's OK to charge for studio photos (although 10/40 chf for a small/fullsize pic is really a rip-off imho, unless the pics are properly postprocessed/photoshoped to perfection), but charging for party pictures is a bit too much. Say, would you really expect someone to pay 10 (or 40)chf for this one?
