Hello Ela,
There is a Coffiure called Convergance in the shopping center La Praille. They have portable DVD players for kids to watch and they are very good with children. Also there are a few hair dressers that speak English.

I can recommend a very good place: "L'Institut, Salon de Coiffure" close to Manor. They have a kids corner with DVDs, books, toys and special chairs, it went really great with my 16-months-old!
