well i tried puting my identity card no on but there are some letters that are there(che) and mine is (nig)... so the site doesnt accept my card number.... is there any other way i can order for a card for immediate use (need to travel on friday)

Go to the train station (airport or Cornavin) and order in person. You need a photo.

It might also want your swiss permit or carte de legitimation number as that is your identity card for them..otherwise, train station. There are also photo booths there.

Not immediately. It is sent to your home address via post or you can collect it from the station. Also, you need two photos.

You do get a temporary paper one immediately. The permanent one is plastic w photo.

The temporary card is valid for about 10 days plenty of time to get the plastic one through the post. Three year pass much more cost effective. And you get discounts on the buses in Geneva and other cities. eg CHF 5 instead of 7 or 2.20 instead of 3.
When you buy your ticket, if the cost is approaching 45 francs, check whether there ia a day runabout ticket available at about the same price. Thhis enables you to use buses free of charge on the day in question

I think you have to go to the information section at the station, rather than the ticket office. Ticket office will do it if there ios not a big queue. Maybe someone can advise if I am correct

For the VISA version you need to go to the travel agency part. Thats what i was told when i went to the ticket office last year

I got the visa version from the ticket office but it was after travel agency closed and not too busy.
