kettle bell training?

Does anyone know where i can get some kettle bell training in or around Geneva? Can be in English or French-I've googled and checked the phone directory but i'm not having any luck-I think I may have found someone in Lausanne but the problem with a lot of Swiss websites is that they are incredibly clunky, badly designed and hard to navigate-I couldn't actually find his contact dtails on the site -will try again, but meanwhile anybody got any ideas? Thank you

I have been looking for a kettle bell trainer in Geneva as well, but it looks like the closest is in Lausanne.  If you discover anyone closer by, I would be interested as well!

I incorporate kettlebells into my outdoor circuit classes in Geneva/Lausanne - along with medicine balls, bosu, boxing and trx. Drop me a message if game enough to try.

You can also try a Crossfit gym if you are looking to workout with the heavy kettlebells - although there seems to be only one in the area near Gland (http://www.crossfitleman.ch)

Thanks for that but I would actually kind of like some personal help first -I've heard you can really hurt your back if you don't have proper form, then i was just going to do it myself!

If you're already in good shape and are used to different ways to exercise then you can have a go at the Kettlebells on your own. But if you're not confident, better to start with someone who can show you and then maybe train by yourself once you've got the technique right.

Kettlebells are great and good fun but like with any exercise, be sure it's done properly to not damage your back for example!!

Hello

Kettle bell training is an excellent mode of total body training but beware. You must have a sound fitness level and excellent technique to receive the desired benifits. If done with poor technique you risk the chance of overuse injuries to the elbow and shoulder and possibly to the back.

I have an extensive background as a head strength and conditioning coach in the states for over 20 years. I currently own Coach Zuck Fitness Academy in Annemasse. I have group classes and also offer personal training sessions. I had subsituted dumbbell movements ( db snatch, db standing shoulder press and db hip swings)  for the kettlebell exercises with less chance of injury with my high level athletes in the states.

I believe you can train with the same intensity but under safer conditions with the dbs in crossfit or bootcamp oriented training programs. Please see my site though it is in french or I will be glad to explain my unique brand of fitness

regards,

Andy
