looking for an inexpensive bike / a bike store
I'm looking for a cheap bike ( can be second hand) in a good condition. I just need it to bike to work sometimes and for recreational purposes. Does anyone know about a store in GVA with used bikes ( I was told once there's one somewhere in Carouge but don't know the name)?

Maybe someone has one for sale? I wouldn't like to pay more than 150 fr.

Thanx

Marz,

Migros sell relatively cheap new bikes, at CHF 300 a piece. I just bought one for me.

It's in their SportXXX stores (there's one in Balexert). Good basic bike.

I can really suggest "cash converters" at the "rue de carouge" it does not allways have bikes, but if it does - they are usually a really good deal.

Also, my friend has a bicycle repair shop and always has 20 - 30 used bicycles.

I share a space with him, so you can find a map to his shop on my website

It's at 5 Rue Louis Favre (he only speaks french)

Hello guys,

Anybody knows a good bicycle repair shop close to Rive? I just tried "Ashkan Sports", never, ever go there, the guy inside was busy and pissed off so he decided to shout at me that every 5 mins somebody is coming and he doesn't have time and space..

Let me know.
I went today to John friend's store (in Servettes) with my broken bike (all the way from Eaux-Vives  )

Roger seems a very nice guy and he talked me into repairing the bike rather than giving up on it and buying a new one. I'll see in few days how good it comes out of his hands :)

I saw there some reworked second-hands bikes on which he gives 1y warranty. City / mountain from 120CHF - 250CHF - ... A couple ladies bikes that might interest you. More choice on men side though.

Thanks John for the advice.
