looking for best beer selection
Hi to all,

New to Geneva as of 1 week ago. Coming from the US. I can and will do my part to drink as much good wine as possible, but I know that I will also miss having a good selection of beer around the apartment. Any thoughts on the store(s) with the best selection? I also know that I can travel to many great nearby beer destinations, but it would be nice to have a shop in the city that carries a decent selection - I always like to have some good Belgians and a hoppy IPA or two around at home.

Thanks for any advice.

Best,

Jahred

Try Le palais des bières. They have 3 branches. And good luck for your acclimatization to wine, it could bring you lots of pleasure...

Thanks! I'm not worried about getting acclimated to wine - I take plenty of pleasure from wine. But it's easy to find everywhere, and my real and preferred love is for good beer, which is much more difficult to find.

And I did so in the states, but don't have the room to do so here. If you know of someone who has room to brew, I will gladly chip in for equipment and/or ingredients.

I just found a new store in 'Geneva' that has over 555 beers

and about 100 spirits. With a pretty good selection of Whisky's or Whiskey's.

I was amazed in the beer selection, with over 8 Canadian, 12 Belgian, 40 american , 60 English, 10 greek, and hundreds more, etc.

I dont work there or any commercial interest, but just the love of beer and this was an excellent discovery.

I found the website that also includes list of the stocks.

'Drinks of the World', Gare de Cornavin (in train station next to starbucks & Gidor Coiffure) www.beerworld.ch

I talked to the Manager who ordered a special bottle of Irish Whiskey, got it in a few days and got a 10% discount.

and when I compared prices, they are pretty competetive :)
