place d'amarrage

Hi,

seems I'm completely out there but I am trying to find a place d'amarrage to park a voilier boat. It seems even worst than with apartment hunting in Gva. Do you have any tips or ideas where could I get any luck?

I will be greatful for any advice...

thank you, ale

Hi Daniel,

its a sailing boat - voilier Aloa 23; I did a reasearch and talked to some sailors and they recommended me not to buy a boat without a spot coming with it.. The sub-letting is tricky as well, apparently Gva hired 2 officers who are checking the boats and whether they are registered for the place d'amarrage. Private ports with places left are saving their places for people who buy the boats there.

Anyway, all in, I didn't finalize the purchase, will start saving up for a boat with the place :))

thanks a lot!

Yes I confirm what Daniel says. Besides what he/you suggested, do make a formal request in all harbours. It could be that you have to be a member of the yachtclub to be able to request a slip, but I would try anyway. Otherwise, get a mooring, this might be easier in the small village "harbours".

Or just another thought could be have a trailerable sail boat.  So you take in and out each time...  Not perfect but at least it gets you going..  The Archambault Sprinto is ideal for this...
