Hello,
I've been living in the area for 5 years and have heard of a way to get British satellite television here in France.
Can any of you help me out?
Thanks!
Cynthia

There are lots of ways to get Satellite TV .. Either contact Jim's Mini Market in St Genis, or use the various online methods. I use http://storesatellite.com/ , but that would require setting up yourself. It can be easy to get TV . Also most of the UK Terrestrial channels are now free to air , so in fact you could just buy a Sky Box (must have a freeview card) from the UK (either Ebay or during a visit look through the locals ads) plug in a DIsh and you have UK TV without paying a monthly subscription.

I had no luck getting anyone from France to come. Apparently they don't need the business that badly.
I called this guy from Geneva and he came 2 days later and on time. He's British and very nice, works fast, did a nice job with the cabling. There's a small extra fee for him to cross the to France but he doesn't charge through the nose.

haha you'd think they'd need the business but .... they never come... and in any case I don't even think they'd know what a skybox is and where to direct it to....:cool:
