Hey Fiona can you be more specific about what you are trying to achieve and maybe we can help. Cheers.

Hi Fiona. This is doable but you need their mobile gateway from the telephony provider. It's something like [email protected] but mobile operators don't normaly publicize it so I don't think it's worth the trouble to try and obtain it. Would be easier to ask the person's email - they might even have access to it on their mobile phone.

Alternatively you could send an MMS - depending on your phone, some manufacturers let you create the MMS on your computer and then copy it on your mobile phone. Hope it helps.

if you want to send a really long email (which will cost you a lot) you can use the mobile phone's software on your PC to do it. It will be very quick, you will just need to install the proper application and connect your phone to the PC.

If you have an @bluewin.ch e-mail address, you can send 50 messages (160 chars each - up to 4 sms at a time) for free in the sms-section of their webmail site (www.bluewin.ch/email) - it's not an e-mail but avoids the hassle of having to type long messages on your phone.

If you have an Orange mobile number, you can send 20 messages (160 chars each) for free from "My Orange" on their website.

Sunrise also has something similar.

. . .  and if you have a SKYPE account, you can also send sms for a small fee (usually cheaper than Swisscom).

Or you could get a telephone (yet another new phone) that does wifi so that you can connect directly to the internet and send e-mails for gratos (like an iTouch which is not a phone, or Nokia/Samsung/etc all have models).

BTW I sold one of the phones above (hehehe).  Laughing

Had to think about that one. understood quite quickly. I'll wait for an opportunity to use that sentence.
