go for champion - go rue de meyrin, cross the border, and drive straight untill you enter to st.genis - "champion" will be on your right. In fact after the border you will cross 1 small roundabout and then 1 big one (go straight on them); 150m after the big one you'll the champion - it's open till 12 on sundays.

for regular days try "val thoiry" shopping center

For the Ferney market, take bus F behind the bus station. It has a great section for food, and also other things - books, clothes, etc. But that's the food part which is really worth it.

Hi Guys, what about going shopping to france by bus? Are there any limitations at the border?

In theory the douane border patrols can enter the bus just like any car check.  in practice Ive never seen it happen.  What does happen quite frequently though is for the tpg to check tickets around the border becuase you need a bus ticket which explicitly covers France! The tickets that cover france last for two hours rather than one so can be better value sometimes even if you are just travelling in Geneva but in any case people frequently seem to get caught with the wrong ticket.  As for cycling, its as easy as can be just like most places in Geneva.  Also bear in mind quite a few of the supermarkets in neighbouring France open on Sunday till 12 or 1pm.

Hi,

you can also go to St Julien - just next to the Perly border.  tpg buses 4 and D stop just next to the Carrefour Supermarket (Open till 12h30 on Sundays). There is a 300 CHF limit for vat free entry of goods, but also quantitave one - for meat, cheese etc. I suggest you to download the Swiss customs app - you will find all the vat/ customs free quantities by product.

Uhm, I go often on F, and  douaniers are often, or sometimes its police, they check IDs and if they see you with big bags they ask if you have anything to be taxed. However you would have to buy A LOT to be taxed, and I dont think they even bother with food shopping. That's why plenty of people go to Carefour on F bus to buy cheaper food, or Val Thoiry for general shopping.

You can also go to street market in Annemasse (take bus 61 in Cornavin) on Tuesdays and Fridays. If you don't find all you need, walk to Carrefour or Monoprix. Have a nice shopping day in neighbouring France!
