ski waxing and edge sharpening

Hi all,

Anyone can recommend a specialised shop for ski tuning? And I don´t want a machine tuned but totally hand made racing prep (on proper racing skis).

I know about this one Penseyres Sports but have no experience there.

GE or nearby France.

Thanks!

I go to Lanches Sport in Annemmasse. Complete service with p-tex filling, ceramic edge shapening and race waxing is 36 euros. I have generallybeen satisfied with the results but inspect it carefully when you pick it up; they will remedy anything you are not happy with on the spot. Website in french below.

Thanks for the tip!

But if it is ceramics then it is most likely on the machine. And looking at the website they state "band" so it is machine tuned.

I still prefer hand made (so we can make edge and base angles as desired) if I would be able to find it anywhere in vicinity.

You will not find a place that is fully manual for the simple reason that the people who might need those extra touches usually have the expertise and the tools to do it themselves.

I would do it myself too but while in Geneva I do not have tools with me nor the place to do it =)

I'll ask at Penseyres but I have a feeling that they would charge 100+ CHF for that..

You can call Ravanel sportshop in Chamonix? I know they pride themselves on their technical expertise and customer service, so maybe they could help..
