t-shirt printing place?
Hi!

Does anyone know of a place in Geneva where I can get a bunch of t-shirts printed cheaply and with short notice? Or even better, one that might be open to a sponsorship deal (it's for charity)? I want quality prints that look good, not that plastic kind that falls off when you wash it.

Would be very grateful for advice.

Hi Youmeco,

Thanks for your advice! As a matter of fact I have already been in touch with Tinkie, who gave me the contact details of the company they used. So I'm in the process of sorting out the printing already. These are going to be some seriously irresistable t-shirts, trust me!:)

Nir had any thoughts on a "Me and my friends, Do it at Glocals - T-SHIRT?" , or maybe something along those lines?

Any thoughts or comments regarding a demand for a "GLOCALS" T-shirt?

 eerrrmmm... i get looks from people as it is in town as they look to see if they know me from somewhere.. A tee-shirt like that would certainly raise more eye-brows.  However, I would go for different motto... and preferably a warm sweatshirt for the upcoming cold winter season.

Can I have one made to wear in each country I go visit as a walking billboard (and of course be paid for it) ? NIR my friend, what do you say?

"Looks from everyone in town as if they know you from somewhere???"... Lets stick to the forum topic please :D

T-shirt was a suggestion, not many well established businesses, companies, corporate enterprises, etc etc, that dont have some form of marketing in the form of clothing?

As for the motto, my suggestions was merey to enlighten the topic, but suggest could be perhaps put to a member suggestion and voting process IF it is pursued?, as was the case with the name change perhaps?

Hi Frankie,

Thanks for bringing this up.

I'll be 100% frank on this:

Having glocals T-shirts (or other merchandise) might be a great idea that will fly. However, siteAdmin and I are now so focused on planning the site upgrade, that we won't be able to really put time / effrots into it for the next 6 months.

If someone out there has the passion to make this happen, we'll be happy to help via informing members about it, and via running a survey (if needed) to see what wording is most liked.

What think?

Sounds like a great idea, and potentially the 6 months would give people enough time to come up with suitable ideas, potential attire and a catchy phrase.

Had also crossed my mind that perhaps a percentage of sales (so as to further encourage) could or may even donated to a charity?

Im sure any thoughts, ideas or input from members, could evetually lead to this happening?

Hey Frankie,

Charity:
I think a % to charity is a nice-to-have, but only if it doesn't increase the price significantly. Most people, in my experience, will decide if to buy / not buy the shirt depending on how witty it is and how much buzz we can create around it, and the charity idea will be just a nice bonues.

How to make it happen
You say: "Im sure any thoughts, ideas or input from members, could evetually lead to this happening". For sure, if we can many members energised about it, the better. From what I've seen tho, the best way to make this happen is to have 1-2 people who really have a passion for it, and drive it forward. Other members may get involved in 'low effort' stuff like giving feedback on designs / motos, etc. But the 1-2 "drivers" are critical.
