Most restaurants offer some sort of vegetarian option, often a salad... I put a list of some restaurants that I have found offer satisfying and pretty balanced vegetarian options on the "Restaurant reviews" forum a while ago so it's somewhere to start. Watch out though! There is sometimes confusion as to constitues a vegetarian dish - I have been offered fish on more than one occasion.
What type of vegetarian food are you looking for? To date I find that Indian restaurants and Japanese restaurants offer the better options. If you discover somewhere amazing, please share your experience. I really would be more than happy to be proved wrong on this one!

I went to "Thai" last night which is not originaly a vegi restaurant but they do offer most of their plate in a vegetarian version which I thought was a good idea.
I recommend it.

isn't vegetarian - but they have lots of great salads and other food which are non-meat based. The tables are centralized (one big table where 20 people sit), so I often meet new people while reading my paper and drinking my coffee.
There are 3 in Geneva: Rive (Bd. Helvetique), Champel and Planpalais.
This is also one of the few places in Geneva where you can eat on Sunday. :)
