what kind of doctor would you go to for...?
So, for the past couple of months or so, my achilles tendon above my left ankle (I'm assuming that's what is hurting) has been really, really bothering me.

And my right elbow (which I'm guessing is from that heavy suitcase I schlepped in March because I don't play tennis) hurts, too.

SO, what kind of doctor should I go to for these aches and pains that so far I have been playing through, but have become quite bothersome? And any recommendations?

Thanks!

try some 1 frs. sized powerful magnets. they really worked for me. for my wrist. back and hand.

magnet therapy has been known for 3'000 years, yet dr's today are unable to

agree why they work.

Hi,

I played tennis for a while when i was younger and i had to stop due to a tennis elbow ...

Since a couple of year, i've started again ... and the pain was back again :(

If you find a good therapy, plase let me know :)

Difficult to tell from your descriptions.. I would say either a generalist. or else an orthopaedic..

Prob. a generalist would either treat you for it, or refer you to an orthopedic doc if need be..

There is one treatment option that you might want to look at that is used to treat tendon problems. I would try something like this before cortisone shots which may be the "standard" response that you will get from a medical doctor.

Here is the link to the machine (Swiss Dolorclast from EMS). It is made in Switzerland.

http://www.ems-company.com/medical/en/products/swiss%20dolorclast/swiss%20dolorclast%20master/

See treatment indications 1 and 7 on this link:

My Chiropractor in Lausanne has one. You could call the company to see who has a machine in your area.

Good luck,
