Jardiland in Ornex has hampsters, mice, rats, rabbits, birds, fish and occasionally dogs.

HI there's a young student who is a real animal lover and keeps a menagerie of all kinds of animals, including hamsters, rabbits etc. She's the person to ask any animal question and maybe even buy one off her. She's very sweet. I can give you her email if you like

Hi there,
We got a lovely hamster from Maxi zoo in Annemass(bad spelling!)Also got a really funky cage for her as well.The animals looked all very well,clean cages etc.
And my "mini me" is very happy with"Anni the hammi".

For info:
As of this fall (not sure of the exact date), Swiss legislation will require that you purchase TWO hamsters, gerbils etc. as it is considered "cruel" to keep only one animal since they social animals.

I would not advise you to put two hamsters in a cage. I did it with those of my daughter and I eventually had to buy a second one. They are solitary animals (unless you want to have a male and a female, which I would not advise either :hehe: )
