My scooter engine died and rather than replace the scooter, which I really like, I'm looking for a new engine, which the shop can install for about 250 euros. But I have no idea where old vehicles are dumped around here so I can make a call or two - any idea? Thanks!

Use the magic words "casse moto geneve" in google (=breakyard) and you will come across a few addresses. Although if a scooter has ended up there, it's unlikely that its entire engine can be used. Have you checked the price of a new engine, might be worth it?
Good luck!

Thank you - do you know where I can find out about a new engine? I asked at two dealers in France (where I live) but both looked at me like I was crazy.

Let me guess... did you speak to them in English, 'cause then it's understandable ;)
I don't know anything about scooters, but if I were you I would try to figure out what brand is the scooter and look up the dealers of that brand on the internet. They will be able to order your engine.

No, all in French. It's a Yamaha 125 so I know it shouldn't be too hard, though that's how the dealers here are making it seem. Well, I will check the Internet but if anyone knows of a dump (one dealer said he knew of one on the border but he didn't have any more information) I'd appreciate your help.
