where to find replacement glass cooktop in Geneva?

I broke the glass cooktop on my stove by accident, and my landlord said I'd need to replace the whole thing as a consequence, which would amount to about 750chf. Before I go back to argue with him I'd like to know if there's any chance of finding a replacement cooktop in Geneva, either just the glass or the entire top part, since I had a look at the manual and replacing the thing myself would not be hard. Any ideas for shops that would stock these? It's an Indesit appliance. Thanks for any tips in advance!

Hello Milos

First let s assume you have Third party liability insurance which is covering all risks in the residence you occupy (except the furniture that belong to you and personal effects). You do need to make a claim declaration to your insurance company/broker with relevant infos (date, time, who did what and how...) but you have a coverage for glass breakage...! so we will not pay EXCEPT for the deductible >>>see your insurance contract ....

Second, if a guest or a visitor broke your glass cooktop, you can ask him/her to check with the insurance co...

Third, if by misfortune neither point 1 or point 2 apply check with the brand manufacturer of the cooker for the Geneva representative coordinates...Alternatively if you are a gifted handyman you can save a bundle in finding a used cooker with same top condition glass cooktop>>>may be the fleemarket or EMMAUS !?

Good luck in your next steps.
