Hi,  I flew with Aeroflot from Gva to Moscow and then to Tokyo + way back this year. I can't give a judgements on luggage(s) being lost as  I always fly with the one I can carry with me in order to avoid any disappointment (doesn't matter with which airline).

I think the "bad" reputation is given by some more frequent "unfortunate" events happened in the past but nothing happened since many years. This was confirmed from a friend of mine who's working in the tower control here in Gva. So, no worries (.... I hope!!!)

All my flights were on time.

Yes, is the cheapest you can find, however check how long would be the flight/waiting times.

And yes, I'd choose Aeroflot again.

I flew with them a couple of times, to Moscow. Nothing wrong with them, very comparable to other European airlines. Lost luggage is typically a mistake by the airport, not the airline. I've never had major delays with them. 

I would be more concerned about their safety record, before their lost luggage or delayed flight statistics. Edward is right about lost, or misrouted luggage being the airport, or handling agency's fault. Further to his points, airports, weather and numerous other factors contribute more to delays than technical failures on the aircraft.
