Last year they were down in Ouchy  - we went to the gardens of the Casino in Montbenon, had a picnic and watched from there - great view and you also see the ones going off in Pully and Lutry further down the lake. 

They always have the big one in Ouchy.

Most of the communes around the lake have a firework, and they try to not do them at the same hour. If you are on a hill with a view to the lake, you can see them. In Ouchy it is always crowded, but fun (if you are not afraid of the children playing with the smaller firework. I admit I am, and even more when I am with my own children.) The buses to go back to the city are full, so many people go by foot to climb up the city, it is really nice.

In Ouchy, there are animations already starting tomorrow, I believe.
