DH and I are considering a move to Lausanne for a job (office in Ecublens). We are planning to forego a car, and DH would like to keep his commute under 30 minutes, so relatively quick public transport links to that area need to be easily accessible. 

I would be spending my days looking after our children (3 under 2.5 ), so we're looking for a family area with parks, a good preschool, some easily-accessible toddler playgroups and good buggy-friendly public transport access to the centre. A nice village type atmosphere (or at least somewhere that doesn't feel really spread out and industrial) would be ideal. 

We have a modest budget of around CHF2000/month for 3.5-4.5 rooms. 

Any suggestions for places we should look?
