well, to be more accurate a Garmin 12v vehicle charger. This cable:

I have a nuvi 255 which continually flips into "PC mode" while in use, so making it almost unusable. According to the Internet this is quite common & often caused by by a faulty cable. However before I go & buy a replacement, it would be great to actually check that a working cable will fix the problem.

So, is there anyone in the Vevey, Montreux, Lausanne area who has this Garmin cable who would let me try it with my GPS to see if this does fix the problem? Of course, I would come to wherever you are and it should only take 5 minutes and I wouldn't need to take it away anywhere.
