For some time,I have wanted to do a DIY course.Any DIY I have tried has been D-saster and I've had to get a friend to DI again!
.In the UK these things exist - even ones specially for women (chixandmortar,fo example).In Lausanne the only thing I could find was one held in 2010.......for children aged 6and up!!!
Does anyone know of any DIY courses for adults here - or of anyone who would like to set them up?Or is this too revolutionary for Vaud?

What are you going to make?
Not "make" anything -just learn skills to do with fixing/changing stuff around the home etc .....basic skills that guys take for granted but women often don't have.Whenever I've tried to fix/alter something by myself,intuitively it's usually gone wrong and I've had to get someone else to sort it out!

Renens OBI store will have training workshop around mid-march 2013 and it will train at same time (with different instructors for various DIY hobby) up to 160 participants. If interested you should sign for their Newsletter . Also once every week suggest you check the website as to not miss being among the short-listed women applicants.

Both OBI and Hornbach do DIY courses. I wouldn't be surprised if Jumbo didn't do something as well.
