The restaurant 'L'Avenir' on the Boulevard de Grancy is very good, and their pasta is great! I've eaten there several times and marcomarco once organized a dinner there - 30 happy glocalers can't be wrong! It's five minutes walk from the station (if even).

Sorry, didn't read your posting fully... If she can't walk that far, there's always another one in the Blvd de Grancy (street just down from the station)... on the corner you'll find the 'Milan' (Italian cuisine - and it used to be v.good, but I haven't been in over a year)... :-) J.

I recommend also to you Pinocchio,for me it's 1 of the best here in Lausanne like what acquarius have said. I've tried eating there 3 kinds of pasta in 1 plate and it was BUONISSIMO!

Le Milan is decent, non-super fancy italian but the main attraction for a pregnant women is that it's completely non smoking. :w00t: For a non italian choice, Cafe de Grancy is casual, non smoking (during meal times) and has a number of "les pates" on the menu for the non adventurous.
