Diablerets is beautiful but i suggest you don't take the route to Lac Retaud. Take a hike directly northwards and it ends up on La Palette- decending in the evening makes for a great effect.
Anywhere around Kandersteg (no wonder the international scouting association has a base there because the area is fantastic)
I recently did Bad Schwarzsee to Charmey- not a tough hike but can take 4:30 if you also take the time for lunch. the start was steep then it calmed down. Note there is a part of the hke that goes through a cow migration path through the woods.
